Owning a pet in a big city can be difficult, especially in a studio apartment on the 11th+ floor. Walks become a new challenge with multiple levels of stairs, dog restricted areas everywhere, and new locations to… do their business.

There are many factors to consider when you move to a city or when bring a dog into your city home. The size of the dog compared to your living space and your dog’s energy level with room for exercise, amongst other things. It is also important to make sure your dog is socialized. The city is full of people, animals loud noises, and traffic.

On a hot summer day in Denver, you and your pup can navigate down several flights of stairs to stroll down the shaded, tree-lined sidewalks of the city. With over 300 days of sunshine, a great walk is likely in Colorado, give or take an afternoon thunderstorm.

With new patios, rooftop bars, cafes, and restaurants opening up weekly, you can bring your dog with you just about everywhere. And don’t worry about going to work, many offices are dog-friendly, and an office in the city is often just a short walk from home. From pet stores to app development offices and even law firms, many companies in Denver allow their employees to bring their dogs to work with them.
